Macarena Rubio

Macarena Rubio is a director whose practice over the past decade spans fiction, documentary, fashion films, and commercial work. Her approach is narrative-led, with a strong focus on character, emotional detail, and visual storytelling. She writes and directs her own films, alongside commissioned projects.

She has directed projects across more than ten countries, working with international clients including Sprite, Adidas, Citibank, and Heinz. Her work has screened at festivals such as BAFICI (2018) and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market (2020), and her advertising work has been recognized with a Cannes Lions Bronze Lion (Heinz).
